AUGUST 2025 NEWSLETTER
PRESIDENT'S PASSBACK

Howdy all you wonderful moms! I'm Julia Monroe, President of Dallas County Aggie Moms and I want to welcome each of you as we kick off a great year ahead. Whether your student is enrolled at the main campus in College Station or Galveston, attending Blinn, Rellis, The Dallas Engineering Academy, or a system school, we are ALL Aggie Moms and share a special bond! Our strong network is here to give guidance and enjoy new friendships as we embrace this exciting part of life.

Our Board is busy planning an exciting year full of social gatherings and opportunities all across Dallas County. We also raise thousands of dollars each year to give back to our students through special awards, scholarships, and monetary donations to a variety of student organizations. Last year alone we gave away well over $17,000 and with your help, we look forward to making an even bigger impact this year! Be sure to check our calendar HERE regularly because we're always up to something good!

As we begin the year, I want you all to feel the strength of the Aggie network. Your Aggie is making new connections and so can you. Together we will do great things!

Dallas County Aggie brAG!!!

Lilly Laidlaw, Class of 28 and proud Kappa Delta, spent her Summer working as a Horse Wrangler at Pine Cove Silverado in Columbus, Texas. As an Animal Science major, this was such an amazing fellowship opportunity, caring for and working with youngsters and horses. As a bonus, this endeavor also satisfied the ANSC 399 Summer Experience with Animals requirement for her degree so it was a win win all around!  Now that the arena dust has settled, Lilly is excited to return to campus in just a few weeks and will no doubt share her exciting news with friends!

Ring of Honor

Dallas County Ring of Honor is for moms who no longer have a student attending A&M but wish to remain a member of the Club, keep up with Aggie activities, and cultivate lifelong friendships that share a common bond: we put students through Texas A&M, we are proud of them, and still support all Aggies. There are no officers, jobs to do, or extra dues. Ring of Honor Moms occasionally meet to eat, drink, laugh, visit, shop, and have fun!

To be a Ring of Honor Mom, your Aggie must have graduated and you must be a current paid member of DCAM Club.  For more information, email DCAMRingofHonor@aggiemoms.org

Federation Information
Federation Emblem

Any event sponsored through The Federation of Texas A&M University Mothers' Club will have this emblem beside the listing. The Federation is the umbrella group over all the individual clubs. These events are open to members of all the different Aggie Moms' Clubs.

The Federation and each individual Aggie Moms’ Club, from the largest with over 300 members to the smallest with only 5 members, share a common goal: To band together to do whatever is necessary to benefit the students at Texas A&M University. Each of the mothers also benefits in the process by sharing a camaraderie that cannot be found elsewhere.  An Aggie Moms’ Club meeting is a nurturing place to share the successes and setbacks of a child’s college career with others who have had the same experiences.

In addition to awarding scholarships to individual students, A&M Mothers’ Clubs serve Texas A&M University by financially supporting campus organizations.  The Aggie Band, the Corps of Cadets, the Endowment Fund for Sterling C. Evans Library, Fish, Transfer and S.A.L.T. Camps, Peer Orientation Conferences, CARPOOL, and over 1000 other Student Organizations receive financial support each year from Aggie Moms’ Clubs.

For more information about the Federation, please go to their website:

The Federation of Aggie Mothers' Clubs has received an urgent request from the Beutel Pocket Pantry, and decided to reach out to our amazing Aggie Moms community to lend a hand!

As the academic year has come to a close, many summer and international students remain on campus—and the need for food assistance is real. This is our opportunity to show what Aggie Moms are all about: stepping up when our students need us most.

How you can help? Check out the Pantry's Amazon Wish List – a quick and easy way to send food donations directly to Beutel: Click here: WISH LIST

If you want to donate in person, contact:

Jo Ann Culpepper

Assistant Director, Beutel Health Center

No contribution is too small—every item donated helps ensure no Aggie goes hungry. Thank you for always being the heart of this community and for continuing to make a difference!
